Description
Rukuriri tea factory has maintained Fairtrade certification from 2008 up to date. The factory was commissioned in 1984 and serves small scale tea growers totaling to 10,161. It is located in Kyeni north location,Embu East district ,Embu County . GPS Coordinates (Latitude -0.37 00 22’ 26.58’’ S Longitude 37.54 370 32’35.1’’ E). Rukuriri Tea collection catchment is subdivided into six electoral areas each represented by an elected director in the Fairtrade premium committee. Premiums received from Fairtrade have been used in the catchment to facilitate various projects proposed by members in ridge meetings. The project budget and work plans are approved during annual general assembly (AGA) for all members.
Rukuriri tea factory is managed by KTDA on behalf of the small-scale farmers. Its core business is service delivery to the farmer by timely collection of Greenleaf at buying centers and processing of high-quality black CTC teas that will attract higher prices at the auction. Rukuriri tea factory does not receive green leaf from non-certified factories. It has sufficient capacity to handle over 20Million kilograms of green leaf per year. Tea is collected at buying centers using well ventilated leaf carriers and received at the factory to undergo the processes of withering, cutting, tearing, curling, fermentation drying sorting/grading to produce various grades based on particle size that are later packed.

I am 6 feet tall and 220 lbs. This shirt fit me perfectly in the chest and shoulders. My only complaint is that it is so long! I like to wear polo shirts untucked. This shirt goes completely past my rear end. If I wore it with ordinary shorts, you probably wouldnt be able to see the shorts at all – completely hidden by the shirt. It needs to be 4 to 5 inches shorter in terms of length to suit me. I have many RL polo shirts, and this one is by far the longest. I dont understand why.

The shirt was not the fabric I believed it to be. It says Classic Fit but was made like the older versions, not the soft cotton like my others. I don’t understand how the labels are the same but a completely different shirt. Oh well, stuck with it now.
